Led end-to-end product design, brand identity, and marketing ecosystem for Norpay—a Dubai-based crypto payment gateway that successfully rebranded as Bepay, serving merchants across the UAE.
Crafting the visual foundation for Norpay (now Bepay), a Dubai-based crypto payments startup offering seamless crypto-to-merchant transactions through app-based payments and crypto cards. I led end-to-end design, including design systems, app UI/UX, marketing, and offline event assets.®
Designing the Future of Crypto Payments
At Norpay, I worked as a Senior Designer, owning the complete visual identity and product design of a crypto payment platform built for the next wave of Web3 finance. From building a consistent design system and intuitive UI/UX to creating impactful branding and event media, I helped transform Norpay into a professional fintech experience. The mobile app allowed users to manage their crypto wallets, swap tokens, and use crypto cards for real-world spending. I collaborated directly with founders and the development team to ensure a smooth and scalable product interface. Additionally, we needed to design for both crypto-native users and traditional merchants who were new to blockchain technology—requiring interfaces that felt familiar yet innovative.
Establish a competitive visual identity and seamless UI/UX for a crypto-native fintech product with zero funding and no existing design base.
Norpay was entering a highly competitive fintech space, aiming to rival brands like Wirex, Shakepay, and RedotPay—without the same resources or funding. The team needed a clean design system, a user-friendly app UI, and consistent branding across digital and offline channels. The biggest challenge was crafting trust and simplicity in a crypto environment that often feels intimidating to everyday users. Additionally, we had to prepare offline materials for investor and merchant events across Dubai with minimal turnaround time.
Built a scalable design ecosystem across product, brand, and marketing for Norpay, enabling seamless product use and event presence.
I began by building a modular design system in Figma — including typography, color palettes, input components, crypto card styles, and icon sets. This system became the foundation for all product UI and branding efforts. For the mobile app, I designed flows such as wallet connect, token swap, card management, and transaction history with a dark fintech aesthetic.
To support Norpay’s growth, I also created marketing visuals for Twitter, Telegram, and Instagram, focusing on product education and community engagement. On the offline side, I designed event-ready print media, such as table-top flyers, investor pitch slides, pop-up banners, and crypto card mockups for merchant showcases.
Merging fintech trust with Web3 innovation — Norpay’s brand design aimed to feel credible, modern, and instantly understandable.
Crypto payment gateways often come with complex user flows and unclear messaging. At Norpay, my goal was to simplify and humanize the experience. I introduced a sleek, bold visual identity with futuristic gradients, strong CTAs, and minimal interfaces that allowed first-time users to navigate crypto transactions without confusion.
The brand voice leaned toward confident yet accessible — fit for both B2C and merchant audiences. My designs bridged the gap between the crypto-native world and traditional fintech expectations. From onboarding to event booths, every visual touchpoint was aligned to build familiarity, trust, and a sense of future-ready finance.
